Holi is just around the corner & I have a perfect recipe to enjoy this festive occasion.
Yield: 4 servings
Ingredients
10 whole almonds
10 whole cashew nuts
10 Pistachios
3/4 teaspoon black peppercorns
10 Cardamom
1 tsp poppy seeds
1 tsp fennel seeds
1 tbsp melon seeds
1 1/4 tsp Dried Rose petals
1 pinch saffron
1 tbsp sugar
1 cup Milk
Method
Add Almonds, cashew nuts, pistachio, black peppercorns, cardamom, poppy seeds, fennel seeds, melon seeds, dried rose petals and saffron to a blender
Blend it to a smooth powder.
You can store the thandai powder in an airtight container and use it later.
To make thandai, to a blender add 1 tbsp sugar, 1 cup milk and 2 tbsp thandai powder per 1 cup milk. Blend it until well combined.
Garnish with sliced nuts and dried rose petals.
Serve chilled.
