Churros are fried pastry snack originated from Spain. They taste the best when made fresh from scratch. They are crispy on the outside, soft and tender on the inside.
These Churros are super easy to make using your pantry staple ingredients and are fried to golden perfection, then rolled in Cinnamon sugar.
Yield: 20 4inch Churros
Ingredients
For Churros
1 cup All purpose flour
1 cup Water
2 tbsp Sugar
1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
1 tsp Salt
2 Eggs
Cinnamon Sugar/Sugar
Oil, for deep frying
For Chocolate Ganache
1/2 cup Heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup Chocolate chips
Method
Make Churros
In a pan, add water, butter and sugar. Bring to a boil and then add vanilla extract and salt.
Turn off the heat and add flour. Stir well with a spatula for 30 seconds.
Let the mixture cool for about 10 minutes.
Now add eggs one at a time and blend it well with an electric mixer.
Blend until mixture comes together and is smooth.
Transfer mixture to a piping bag fitted with a large open star tip.
Heat oil for deep frying, carefully pipe Churros into 4inch lengths.
Fry until golden brown for 2 to 3 minutes, turning as necessary.
Transfer to paper towel for about 15 seconds and then roll them in cinnamon sugar or just the plain sugar.
Repeat the process with remaining dough.
Make Chocolate Ganache
In a microwave safe bowl, add chocolate chips and heaving whipping cream.
Microwave for 1 minute. Whisk together until completely combined.
Serve Churros with warm Chocolate Ganache.
